Amazon Customers Are Furious Over Website Glitches on Prime Day Sales
Amazon has advertised its second annual Prime Day sale as an event bigger than Black Friday. And it seems like its site did get a massive rush of customers — but that led to some glitches.
Customers complained about website issues, saying they had trouble adding their sale items to their shopping carts. They expressed their outrage using the hashtag #PrimeDayFail, which was also used last year when customers were disappointed by the products that went on sale.
yes! took me nearly 20m of continuous trying to add 1 single item to my cart. Finally got it but what a pain.— M Nadal (@mcmnadal) July 12, 2019
Amazon addressed the issue on social media Tuesday morning, saying they were working on fixing it.
Some customers are reporting difficulty with checkout. We're working to resolve this issue quickly.— Amazon.com (@amazon) July 12, 2019
Once things get back up and running, Amazon has some stellar deals on technology, especially its own branded products like the Kindle and Echo. Take a look at some of the best deals here.
Rachel Rothman, technical director of the Good Housekeeping Institute, recommends focusing on the Amazon gadgets on offer since other Prime Day products have similar discounts throughout the year.
