Bead Curtain and Shade
Hello, dear visitors. You can make many different beautiful and interesting things with your own hands from beads and threads, for example, curtains for a door or window aperture and a lampshade (chandelier) for decorating a lamp in a room. and beads, buttons, sequins, braid, small figures made of polymer clay, and modern products can even be decorated with particles from CDs.
First I will tell you about the manufacture of curtains or curtains for the window or door. For its production we will need: - Small multi-colored beads; - Compact discs (CD or DVD); - Scissors for metal; - Reliable glue and tape;
- Strong copper wire of thick or medium thickness; - Reika (cornice) or strong braid as a base; - White threads. Getting started, we take the first thing, which could come as a base. This item should be slightly longer than the window frame. First, we decided to take the rail, which consists of two parts, folding together:
Next, we take a thick wire and wind off a piece of it, equal in length with the length of the slats. We introduce this part of the wire inside one of its parts:
After that we need to tie up to 70 - 80 cm of wire to the wire About 40 pairs (77 pieces), and then connect the rail with its second part, which should hide the wire inside and squeeze the threads tightly:
Then we stick the zigzag oh line to the threads cut the particles from the CDs and put small beads. Cut the CDs need to use pliers or special scissors for metal, because ordinary scissors can break; glue particles need reliable glue or tape. Many discs break down when broken into their component parts and the particles fly apart, with which you need to be careful. These particles will then need to be glued together:
We decided to make such patterns:
It took us about 3 months to create this decoration. We got such a curtain:
After finishing the work we decided to make a second version of the curtain made of beads, on the basis of strong braid. First we picked up a strong braid:
To make the distance between all the threads the same, you need to calculate it by measuring the length of the braid and dividing it by the number of threads:
Then with the needle we sew all the beaded jewelry on the threads to the braid from the back side (notfrom belowotherwise nodes will be visible):
After all the threads are sewn, you can attach small loops to the two ends of the band To hang a ready curtain for nails at the window or in front of the door. If there are no nails, then you can pin it to the wall with large stationery buttons:
Now we are going to make a chandelier (lamp shade ). First we take a piece of thick plywood, on which we need to draw a circle shape, and then cut it out. To draw a smooth sample, you need to use any round object, for example, a lid:
You can use the basis for wooden plywood chandeliers for work in case a non-overheating (energy-saving) light bulb is burning inside the future chandelier. Next, draw a second circle inside the shape and cut it out:
Now we take the CDs:
Cut of these particles, you need to glue the plywood base from both sides (top and bottom), leaving small free areas around the edges in order to be able to sheathe it with a string of beads on threads:
on top of the If you wish, you can paste over the rhinestones, and paint the narrow, not pasted sides on the sides with varnish.
Next, we glue the base on the second side, also leaving small free areas around the edges:
Now we finish decorating crafts with rhinestones and get ready for sewing tes Emma.
Sew on a plywood base to sew a band, the needle passes through it without much difficulty. Too long threads with beads need to be shortened by 4 times (trimmed),as the beads strung on it can be too heavy and bend down the base. We decided to sew on the braid from the side, which is pasted with rhinestones. The finished chandelier can slightly overlap the lighting of the lamp, and therefore in its manufacture it is undesirable to use beads with darkened tones:
At the end of sewing on excess fabric tapes need to cut and burn the edge with a match or a lighter so that the tapes do not crumble:
ATEM on the other (reverse) side we need to hide the seams papered them outside particles from the CD-ROM drive. Glue them a little harder because of the knots on the threads. This is how this side looks now:
So she began to look after processing. Some particles still bounce off:
Next we need to take two long (about 30 cm.) ribbons or lace and connect them in the middle. These laces will have to keep the chandelier on the lamp wire.
Two long laces we need to bend in half and hem a round lock to their middle and ring (hem lock in one side, and the ring - in the other), but if there is no such lock, you can take a plastic clip. This is necessary so that the finished chandelier keeps firmly on the lamp wire. We used a plastic clip without finding a round lock with a ring:
Next, we sew laces to the chandelier braid. Black tips from the laces can not be removed, they will be better left. They will be able to slightly hide the scorched parts of the braid:
This will look like a finished hand-made article:
So it looks suspended from a light bulb:
After that, everything is our chandelier, hand-made, ready.
